We focus on establishing Drought Tolerant, Native, and Edible plantings and lawns, as well as installing plants that are useful for both people and wildlife.

We don’t use harmful chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides.

We build the soil from the bottom up; incorporating organic amendments and using alternative weed control methods.

We conserve water wherever possible, knowing that water can be a big concern in Portland.

We offer downspout disconnections and use Raingardens, Drywells, and Swales to effectively deal with and utilize water on site. We also encourage the shrinking of impervious surfaces, favoring alternatives to these instead.

We work with you to find the best choices in materials; focusing on the most sustainable choices. Incorporating locally sourced, recycled, reclaimed and salvaged materials.

These guys worked hard! Within a few days we had our downspouts buried and flowing into a nice little rain garden. They cleaned up our landscaping, scraped off all the moss, added nice soil and planted grass that is really pretty and holds up in the summer sun and winter rains so far.
And our walkway! We picked some really nice pavers and now our mailman is safe from death at our house. I love it so much that I will occasionally kick off my shoes to walk up and down our front pathway…so even and smooth now. We get lots of compliments on our front yard from strangers now.
